AGM Saturday, 18 February 2012

Dear Residents,

We have a very important announcement to make. Due to the clash of events which is being organized by MPSJ for the Chinese New Year celebrations at the same time on the same day as our planned family day, the Committee has decided to postpone indefinitely our family day gathering which we were planning to hold right after our AGM on Saturday 18 February, 2012.

However, our Annual General Meeting will still go on. We are expecting new office bearers to be voted in. A lot of the present committee has plans to hand the reins over to “new blood”. So if you are keen to run, please do get ready to submit your names.

Annual General Meeting:

Our annual AGM for our Resident’s Association is on Saturday, 18 February 2012 at the USJ 11/3 playground. Meeting will commence at 4:00pm and is expected to end at 6:00pm.

We would like to invite all our paying residents to nominate potential candidates to the new committee. Please note - nominations and voting will be restricted to paying members only. Elections for the new Committee will be carried out during the AGM. Please do come forward if you think you can contribute to the well being of our “kampong”. The new committee will be tasked to carry on overseeing the operations of the security services, etc.

The accounts for 2011 will be presented for you to scrutinize. If you have any questions or would like to know how the funds are used, please do come and inspect the accounts for yourselves.

All paying residents are encouraged to come for this meeting.

Thank you.

The Committee

I reckon that not many residents are aware of this blog or bother to visit. Therefore whatever written can only reached a small number which most probably are good pay masters. How about consistent dropping of flyer as a collection drive? I think the approach now is too passive and the good words are not reaching most of the unpaid. They need more education materials and encouragement to pay up.
