Updates - 4 August 2008

Dear Residents,

Last weekend, your committee members set off on foot to do a 'walk-about' around our area in USJ 11/3, for a few hours that began at 8:30 am on Sunday morning. The purpose was to engage with the residents who did not returned the forms back to us which we had given out earlier for the consent of setting up the 'guarded and gated' community and other issues. While some were difficult to reach out to, we are happy to say that most residents we managed to speak to, were very approachable and are supportive of the initiative, for us to establish the 'guarded and gated' community for our area.

The 'walk-about' session ended at around noon. By then, we had collected about 100 forms, duly completed and signed off. All forms returned were in support of what we intend to do. To those residents, we wish to say thank you.

We have now collected some 400 forms (out of 750+ homes of which a lot of it are vacant). That is already more than 50% of our target but we intend to try and get more. Reaching out to these residents are important. So, if you happen to speak to your neighbour, you may want to ask them if they have already submitted the forms back to the committee members or the street leaders and to do so if they have not.

We are also in the middle of getting our RA's constitution drafted so that we can submit it to the Registrar for registration. That way, we will have a legal body to represent all of us. As such, a lot of work behind the scenes are being done at this stage.

By the way, the hearing for the developer to submit their revised plans to MPSJ has been postponed to this Wednesday 6 August at 2:30 pm, at MPSJ. If any of you are free to attend, please do so, as we need all the moral support we can get. This hearing is for the objection of the developer's plan to build a few units of 2 1/2 storey houses on the small plot of land located on the playground in USJ 11/3.

Lastly, our target is to try and get some security initiatives up and running by the end of the month, that is, by 31 August 2008 - Merdeka Day. We are hopeful that we are able to achieve that target.

Please do contact any of us from the committee, if you have any further queries.

From the collected forms, what's the percentage supporting the gated community? Also, please provide statistics for the other two or three matters.

Thank you.

Hi, sorry to have missed your housecalls but would like to take the opportunity to thank 11 TREES for the effort and initiatives. By the way, I have yet to submit my form, can I ask from where I can obtain another copy? Will submit it to Michael as he is in my same row. Once again, kudos for the effort for guarded community and saving the playground. Best regards, Philip (penny4sparrow@hotmail.com)

What's the cost of gated community? I didn't see details on the cost on the form.

Will the boom gates be "closed" 24 hours is it is "closed" only during the night? Thanks.

I have noted from the leaflet delivered to my post box that a few of the entrances will be closed. Is there any BIG objection from MPSJ on closing the 11/3P entrance facing the MPSJ stadium. As we know, MPSJ has removed the green road reserve and paved them as car park for Kakitangan MPSJ. Also, it is observed that more and more cars visiting Taipan are parked inside eleven trees facing Standard Chartered/HSBC,the cars parking there have now extended all the way to 11/3E. I think we have to hit hard at MPSJ on their approval for the development in front of 11/3F and also the Telekom land in USJ6. In any MPSJ meeting, MPSJ shd be REMINDED they DON'T even have sufficient car park for their own building and yet keep approving more development.

Dear all who have written your comments. Thank you.
I will answer all your questions on another article once I get a chance but rest assured, you will get all the information. I was told by Ng, our Chairman that indeed we have surpassed the 500 forms mark! And there is more. So the support is growing stonger. The cost should be reasonable as more people signs up. That is our intention. Please note the gating is still in discussion and planning mode so any suggestions are welcomed. Nothing is finalised yet. On another note, we have been getting calls from residents across our area, i.e. USJ 11/4 to ask us to get their security, etc up and running as well. But we don't think we can manage at this stage as we are all working people doing this at our free time. But we will assist them in any way possible. Thank you folks. Please keep those comments coming.

We need more details as to the security systems planned especially when the gates are manned. I do not see how we can stop cars from MPSJ and the public from parking in our area during business hours. Most thefts are between 12 noon and 6.00pm and if we are to allow free flow of traffic during these hours, we cannot deter these thiefs and robbers.

I hope the protem commitee can answer these questions soon.

Dear residents,

Whilst there are a lot of questions about the gated and guarded community which we do appreciate, we would also like to hear your views, suggestions and feedback. It will help us resolve a lot of the issues that may crop up in the future.

Also, I would like to point out that, while I am leaving it as an open forum, I sincerely hope you can leave your name so that we know who we are dealing with. This is after all an engagement with the neighbours in the same area. So, getting to know one another is part of this exercise as well. I hope you will sign off at least with your name.

Thank you.

We definately need a 3rd entrance at USJ11/3Q to shorten and smoothen traffic flow onto Jalan Persiaran Bakti and Taipan.

The two propose entrance are not enough to cope with th traffic flow as you have propose to close up all the exits in this area.

We should plan our security system without compromising much on our traffic flow here or else we will eventually face with a neighbourhood traffic chaos.

Dear Mr.T.P Ong
You have to sacrify somewhere, you can't have the cake and eat it as well. Can T.P Ong suggest a solution where traffic flow is not obstructed, yet thief and robberies are reduced and everyone no need to pay a single sen.
Realistic

Hmmm. Alot of questions has been posted, but can we have some answers?

Best if we could see a budget and the the percentage of residences agreeing to this.

Let's worry about these two first and not worry about traffic flow for the moment!

So happy we got our own blog. Just want to ask the security fee are compulsory to pay or not?
Because we still not submit our form to commitee member.
Can your please to list out the profesional listing to us. Because we feel the amount not very clear. Just only write the estimate amount like RM17,000(service fee)RM15,000(cctv...sundry items) then got how many security guards duties on day?
The car sticker RM30.00. we feel the prices high. We just want giving suggestion like: the car sticker max we got 3pcs for one house itn't,then, we take it photocopy for our extra cars. But must be chop & signature by Chaiman. Most of our USJ11/3 resident got more than 3 cars.
