Another cry for help!

Dear Reuben,

I'm Edmunt Hunt's neighbour, and am most upset to hear of yet another house break-in along our road.

It happened this morning, at 15x USJ 12/1. As you would probably have known, the thefts that have happened over the past 2 months along Jln USJ12/1 (yes, just over a stretch of less that 100m of this road) are:

i) 18/5/09 - house break-in No 8x(abt 1pm)
ii) 31/5/09 - attempted house break-in @ No. 8x (probably afternoon)
iii) 2/7/09 - car theft @ No. 8x (abt 4am)
iv) 15/7/09 - house break-in @ No.15x (abt 8-9am)

Of course the police would have a far, far more impressive set of data. As a resident staying in 8x Jln USJ 12/1, I'm very concerned that there is obviously NO FEAR OF THE POLICE AT ALL.

Even a blatant disregard (and disrespect) for their (police's) existence. Why??? And this makes me feel so unsafe...... I understand you are Hannah Yeoh's special assistant in this matter.

Can you help the residents of this neighbourhood in any way with regards to improving safety? We'd appreciate any practical help/recommendations.

My contact is 017-XXXXXXX.

Thank you.

Regards,
Chee Pheng

Edmund,

I was told that there is a Special Singh in USJ boasting that he can help to mend this kind of problem.

Probably you can seek his help.

good luck to him.

Dear Edmund,

I am extracting the following story from from the NST on this Joe Singh. Here it is:

SS14 Residents' Association crime watch acting chairman Joe Mahinder Singh said any public road that is barricaded is against the law. "I pay road tax so I'm allowed to use the road. This is a public road and no one has the right to block the road except the police," he said. Mahinder said that USJ was not designed to be a gated and guarded community but an open concept neighbourhood with access to many roads. "If the crime rate is high, then it's up to the police to increase patrol in the area."

So, Joe Singh is a very clever man - he says if you have such problems, just let the police handle everything. Unfortunately, the world is not that round. And so, sometimes, it just does not work. You will eventually have to do something. But folks like Joe Singh knows better so I agree with the earlier writer - go consult him since he talk so big!

Yeah man, he was also present at our G&G Awareness Campaign held two weeks ago at USJ 3/1; Thank Heavens, non of our residents took him seriously and we achieved our 87% consensus to kick off our own Gated and Guarded campaign.

Our hearts went out to USJ8 police station officer-in-charge chief inspector Loi Yew Lik who was there to explain that he had a mere 65 men in blue serving USJ.

We at USJ3/1 were crying for help not unlike you until we realise that we had to help ourselves like USJ11/3 did. I can only advise you'd do the same. Good Luck

Isn't this the same Joe Singh ( former JPK induk SJ snr officer ) that was allegedly charged with issuing a death threat against the 41 year old lady a couple of years back?

No wonder he is always riding around the neighbourhood on his stupid bike and so against G&G communities;

It would be very difficult for him to ride his motorbike into our neighbourhood to collect his money, distribute his 'Ah Long' cards and threaten his debtors once we are gated;
