First Anniversary Celebration!

Dear Residents,

We are ONE year old!

Yes, your Resident Association has reached its first milestone and what a year it has been!

It was full of challenges and trepidation. In the end, we were all winners, including all of you, our dear residents of USJ 11/3. We now have successfully implemented the security system with the fencing to boot!

It has certainly made our kampong a lot safer as we have noticed the dramatic and significant decline in the crime rate in USJ 11/3. Now you see a lot more people coming out to enjoy a stroll or kids playing basketball in the mornings, in the evenings and at night without any fear.

All these were possible – thanks to your hardworking committee members and your commitment and support for them. As such, we all have reasons to celebrate!

We would like to mark this very special occasion by throwing a big party for all of you. Here are the details:

VENUE: USJ 11/3 playground

TIME: 7:30 pm – 11 pm

DATE: Saturday, July 11, 2009

THEME: ‘FAMILI CERIA’ NITE

In conjunction with this celebration, we will be inviting various officials who have lent their support one way or another to help us set up our Resident Association successfully.

And you are ALL invited. We have an exciting program lined up for you and your family. Please do make sure you come and join in the fun!

8:15 PM SPEECH BY DATO YDP, MPSJ
8:20 PM SPEECH AND OFFICIAL OPENING BY YB ADUN S. JAYA
8:30 PM DINNER & CELEBRATION
11:00 PM GOODNIGHT

ACTIVITIES

There will be a lot of activities and programs lined up for the evening. Below (pending confirmation) will be some of the highlights.

- Movies
- Line Dancing demonstration
- Karaoke contest
- Games

FOOD

Halal food will be served. On the menu are satay, nasi lemak, curry puff, snacks and drinks. Please do bring along your own cutlery so that we can cut down on our waste.

As we would like to create a family atmosphere, we would like to encourage you to bring along your picnic mats. If you would like to supplement the food we are providing (only for yourselves as this is not a potluck), please feel free to do so but please make sure you bring only halal food as we will have our Muslim brothers and sisters around as well.

DURIAN FEAST

We are working towards having a durian feast as well. By paying a donation, we will have an “Eat all you want” (but no takeaway) durian fresh from the orchard. A portion of this proceed will be going towards the orphanage at USJ 11/1. The orphans will also be invited for this event. So, please also bring along your money and donate generously for a good cause and some lovely fresh durian.

PRIZES GALORE

Exclusive to the residents of USJ 11/3, there will be prizes to be won via lucky draw so do not miss out. Some fantastic prizes have been lined up for you donated by some very generous sponsors. There are unconfirmed rumours that TVs are also up for grabs! But you will have to come to find out for yourselves!
