Dear Residents,
While we are sleeping easier these days with our G&G and our 24x7 security, please do spare a thought that we actually did not resolve any problems. We merely shifted it to our unfortunate neighbours in our surrounding areas.
Here are some of the reported cases in the last few days:
i) Sat, July 11, house at USJ 11/4N broken into;
ii) Tue, July 14, house at USJ 11/4M broken into;
iii) Wed, July 15 morning, break in reported at house in USJ 11/4B.
iv) Sun, July 12, 2 cars reported stolen from USJ 11/2
v) Wed, July 15 - dawn/morning 300 newspapers stolen from vendor in front of 7-11
vi) Sat, July 11 - car stolen by Indian man in USJ 6/3A at 1:30 pm
vii) Tue, July 14 at USJ 6/3B a man got robbed in front of his house at noon
A few weeks ago,a family in USJ 11/5 got robbed, 2 cars stolen and victims driven to ATM to withdraw cash.
These are some of the cases reported within this week and a few weeks ago. It is especially worrying that the criminals do not seem to be fearful of the police! Therefore, we have to be extra vigilant and not take things for granted.
Do alert all your neighbours about the escalating crime in neighbouring areas. Even though we have guards in USJ 11/3, we should be extra alert.
Sometimes, we do wonder how some people who are skeptical and does not support our efforts on G&G feel about these escalating crimes?
PLEASE BE EXTRA VIGILANT AND WATCH OUT FOR YOUR NEIGHBOURS!

Dear Residents,
It is scary to know the number of crimes happening at our neighborhood.
We truly sympathize with their concerns and hope some immediate action can be taken to alleviate the situation and reinstate the confident of the residents in the affected precincts.
As for residents of USJ11/3, we urge you to stay vigilance and look out for your neighbors. Make sure your premise is safely secured and refrain form being too generous in your "open door concept".
Our Chief Police Inspector Tuan Loi has repeatedly reminded us to to stay as a community watching out for of one another and here are some tips for good practice that he had shared:-
1) Get to know your neighbors.
2) Engage with the community.
3) Inform your neighbors if you are out of town.
4) Do not leave junk mails and newspapers uncollected.
5) Switch on light in your porch at night.
6) Report to the guard or Police if you notice any suspicious
characters
The committee has taken steps to further enhance the security measures and should you have better suggestions, please fell free to contribute.
These are the immediate actions implemented by the committee to beef up the security:-
- Directed the guards to keep 5 gates locked and only provides 11 entrances opened.
1) All guards are briefed of the current crime situation and be more vigilance with visitors, please be patient and cooperative at guard post.
2) On 18/7 (Saturday) there will be a join patrol between the Police and Residents at 10pm. All are encourage to participate.
3) Committee members to put on beacon light and conduct patrolling on their way home.
4) Reported to MPSJ on the rampant car parked along 11/3Q (opposite Taipan) This is to avoid car owners being a target of crime and deflect unwelcome visitors.
5) Expedite the installation of CCTV.

Thank you for the informal report card. Precisely as anticipated the crimes are shifted to our neighboring phases but that does not mean we are in anyway safer than before.
Educating some 'people' is not an easy task as you can see the strata of our society by Gregorian exam-knock-out system or so.
THESE hard to crack 'brains' indeed require more education to win them to understand the G&G, just as in us who strongly advocated but need to be re-educated "not to be complacent".
Be patient and yes, work harder, it pays, eventually.
Some slow learners may take a bit longer to comprehend; others may be too selfconcious to lose their water face and by just being obstinate. Keep up the good work, committee members. TQ
