Our Logo

Dear Residents,

You may have noticed the logo of "11 Trees @ USJ" which will be used for our stickers, our plaques for our house pillars, banners, etc. Well, this logo was created by Elena Tan, my niece who is currently residing in Australia. The committee members unanimously adpoted the logo when I showed it to them a couple of months ago. So, on behalf of the committee and the residents here in USJ 11/3, we would like to thank Elena for her effort and kind contribution. We really appreciate it!

Anyway, there are also meanings to the logo of which I would like to share with all of you. It reflects:

1. SAFE & PEACEFUL place to stay (protected by the tree)
2. DIVERSITY - with many different shapes of leaves representing different cultures, race and religion all under 1 tree
3. HARMONY - as the tree is firmly rooted on the ground
4. MODERN living in a modern 'village' setting by virtue of the design and simplicity of the logo
5. TOGETHERNESS with all the leaves near to each other forming 1 single entity for our community

Hope all of you will appreciate the meaning behind this logo which was specially designed and created for all of us living here in USJ 11/3.

Dear Mr.Khoo,

I have in receipt of the security stickers. I notice that there is a dateline 2008-2009.

Does it means we have to pay for the annual stickers other than our monthly subcription fees.

I understand that the initial cost of starting the Gated system. After the full implementation of the system, is it possible for the monthly subscription fees to be reduce so that all the 700 residents can be able to pay the fees. I would also like to know, can the residents pay their subscription monthly as not to burden them.

Regards.

Dear Mrs. Ong,

Thank you for your comments. Firstly, we are not planning to charge for the stickers again if possible in the future. If the situation permits, we may even reduce the fees but that remains to be seen.

As for reducing the fees now so that ALL the 700 residents will pay, we wish it is that easy. As it is, we are already having a challenge getting the majority to pay, with some objecting for the sake of objecting.

In this respect, we are looking for more street leaders to help the present committee, who in all honesty are all working overtime and totally on their own voluntary time.

Perhaps, Mrs. Ong, we may be able to seek your help. Please do consider as we too, would like to see the fees come down as we are paying too. It may be a reality if we can get more to pay. But we need more of you to come forward and help rather than suggest and comment as it will not help us in any way except for us to have a discussion which will end there.

As for the monthly subscription, it was never meant to be a burden to anyone when we want to collect the fees in advance but to be fair to the committee members who are all working people. Imagine if they have to come around to every house collecting every month. They would not have a life and would quit and then the whole thing will collapse!

The question is, would you be able to help us do this? If there are more people coming forward to help in the collection, perhaps we can consider this action of collecting every month.

Having said that, if you still have problems in paying, please speak directly to the street leaders. They might be able to help you make some arrangements.

Thank you Mrs. Ong for your questions. Hope it has helped clear up your doubts.

Dear USJ11/3 committee,

Thanking you for the feedback.I do understand that collection will be challenging.

I have no problem with the fees as in my hosuehold everyone is contributing toward the subscriptions as they are all for the gated system.

Regards,
Mrs Ong
